Grizzly
Bear on Tundra.

Photographing
a grizzly bear in interior of Alaska requires hours in the field, and
extreme patience. The bears feed voraciously, grazing on berries, roots,
grasses, etc, and rarely lift their heads for a glance around. It's
possible to work close to a grizzly and not get a single decent image
just because they don't look up. A good friend of mine described bears
feeding as 'vaccuum cleaners', and I can't think of a better
description. Luckily, I was able to make this image in the few seconds
this bear offered me a shot. Denali NP, Alaska.

Arctos)
