Bull Elk Bugling in the Forest.

Elk spend much of their time, particularly during the day, in the forest, and I think it's important to photograph them there, difficult as that may be to do. The forest has its own feel, and it can be hard to work within, but the effort is rewarding. I spent a lot of time with this bull, and was lucky to catch him bugling and posturing in this small clearing. Hearing that mystical bugling call ringing through the forest is simply awesome.
