Bull Elk, Rutting.

This bull and another nearby were very evenly matched, and spared regularly, though I, of course, missed the serious fighting they did. This image was taken moments before he and his rival got started on Round 2. The rut was seriously underway here, and both bulls keen to establish their dominance.
