Bull Elk Head On.

Shooting this photo, and the series it's a part of, was quite an experience. The bull elk had been resting, when another bull approached, from directly behind me. I hadn't heard or seen it, when suddenly this bull rose up, bugled, flattened his ears, and trotted straight towards me. I snapped a few photos and then, prudence ruling the day for me, stepped behind some small trees and the bull rushed by and dealt with the intruder. Getting some photos of a bull elk on the trot, straight on, bugling, in the forest, was indeed my good fortune. Bull elk photos, head on, forest, bugling, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada.
