An unnamed peak at least light. On a trip up around the headwaters of the Chitina River, near Huberts Landing, I climbed up a nearby ridge for a better view. The light this far up the valley was fantastic, and the play of that light on the various types in the Chitina Glacier moraine, and the Logan Gacier moraine was beautiful. A peregrine falcon perched in a spruce tree nearby, and I spent an hour or 2 in the area, before clambering back down the mountainside to camp. The transition zone on the moraine is clearly evident here, from the bare earth and rock in the distance, to the forested land in the foreground. Fascinating place to investigate.
