Appalachian Rhododendron.

Rhododendron blooms of Southern Appalachia can be simply gorgeous, and the forests of the Appalachian Trail are one of the greatest places to view them. It can be overwhelming to walk amongst the sheer walls of these incredible blooms, the forest revealing a beauty it reserves for a cuple of weeks each spring. This image was taken near Tray Mountain on the Appalachian Trail, North Georgia.
