Cow and Bull Moose Getting Together.

After a lot of hours, and a LOT of walking, I was able to photograph these 2 moose as they finally approached each other. They spent a few hours together, nuzzling and licking, sniffing each other, just being close to one another. it was fascinating to watch. The male and female will mate during the rut, late Sepember/early October. Often a dominant bull will have a number of cows in his harem. Denali Park, Alaska.
