Bull Elk on the Move.

Anticipation is everything in nature photography. I followed this bull elk through the forest, staying to the side rather than behind him, and when I saw a nice clearing ahead, I moved out in front of him and positioned myself to catch him coming by me. Images like this one, where the habitat is important to the image, are usually more appealing to me. This photograph was taken in Jasper National Park, Canada. The Canadian Rockies are one of the finest places I've ever been to for taking photographs.
